Joseph's first Thanksgiving

Joseph is now almost 10 months and had a great Thanksgiving with his parents and grandparents. He ate turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, yams, all mushed up of course and seemed to really like it. Not much fell to the ground for Galaxy!

Joseph now has a total of 6 teeth, is crawling everywhere but really wants to stand up and walk. We're looking forward to seeing his aunts and uncles and cousin this Christmas in Sunnyvale.

Happy Baby

Joseph at 8 months

Fast forward 3 months later and Joseph is now already 8 months old. He has learned to crawl and treks around his play den area really well! He also is teething and has his two bottom teeth coming out. He's also getting a little bit more hair :)

Joseph now weighs 20 lbs. and eats well. He has graduated to eating pureed meat, fruits, and vegetables and drinks out of a sippy cup. I think his fine motor skills are really good as he can pick up small items well and is continually fascinated with buttons, tags, etc.

He's going to be Tigger for Halloween! He wiggles so much that it will be interesting drawing whiskers on his face. I hope to have pictures of him in his outfit up soon.

Joseph's Baptism

Joseph is now 5 months old!

JT turned 5 months old this past Sunday when he was baptized by Father Ben who married us. He looked very handsome in his baptism outfit!

Joseph has learned to roll over and is beginning to get the motions of crawling...he just hasn't learned to put it all together yet. He's also sleeping in his own bed and through the night which is great for me...now if only I can stop checking in on him at night and sleep through the night myself!

We had a really nice Fourth of July visiting Bac Trinh and seeing our family. We hung out at the little pool we got for Joseph and he seems to really like the water. We also went to the beach and he seemed pretty interested in the ocean too.

We'll be seeing the pediatrician tomorrow for his 5 months check up and I have a feeling he's going to weigh in at around 17 1/2 lbs. and will be about 27" long...we'll see!

As you can see from the videos and pictures, Joseph is growing very quickly and his personality is really developing! He loves to "talk" to us and his laughter is contagious. Joseph is just beginning to learn to roll over and scoots a little bit at a time when he is in the crawling position. When he is in his activity chair, he loves to bounce up and down. He's discovered his hands are great for grabbing and for sucking.

We recently had him in a wading pool and he seemed to enjoy it once he got used to it. He splashed the water a lot but definitely lets us know when he's had enough.

Joseph now weighs in at around 17lbs. and is 26" long.
